Daniel Jesch

Daniel Jesch (born on September 27, 1974 in Munich ) is a German actor who belongs to the ensemble of the Vienna Burgtheater .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1994 at Otto von Taube Gymnasium in Gauting , Jesch completed his community service in the “ Pfennigparade Foundation ” in Munich (care for the severely disabled). From 1996 to 1998 he studied philosophy at the Philosophical Faculty and from 1998 to 2000 at the University of Music and Theater Zurich .

Jesch has had an engagement at the Burgtheater Vienna since 2000. He became known with his leading role in the play The Measure of Things by Neil LaBute , which was premiered under the direction of Igor Bauersima in co-production with the Salzburg Festival. Since October 2000 he has been a member of the Vienna Burgtheater ensemble . There u played a. in Martin Kušej's staging of King Ottokar's Glück und Ende (2005), in Andrea Breth's Hamlet staging and - alongside Klaus Maria Brandauer in the title role - in Peter Stein's König Lear staging.
