The location of Zur Mühlen in Velbert in North Rhine-Westphalia (part of the Mettmann district) in the Neviges district goes back to a farm and a mill. To the north is the head-end station . In 1715 the mill is referred to as Zur Mühl on the Topographia Ducatus Montani .

history

The court was mentioned as early as the 16th century as the seat of free farming families and court. The associated mill was the first ban mill in the Hardenberg rule .

On January 6, 1955, a fire broke out in the courtyard building, which was owned by the industrialist W. Schniewind, in which the upper floor and the roof structure were destroyed. Precious old carvings and furniture are said to have been destroyed.
