Compulsory distribution

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The compulsory distribution is a special regulation for the distribution of profits in the lottery . It regulates the distribution of prizes if, after twelve consecutive draws in the German class lottery, no winner in prize class 1 could be determined.

regulation

The regulation stipulates that in the event of a drawing without a distribution in prize class 1, the amount to be won will be added to the following drawing. This rule applies from the first to the twelfth drawing. This leads to the “super jackpots” known to the public. In the 13th drawing without a win in the first prize category, the compulsory distribution takes effect and the jackpot is distributed in a lower prize category, namely in the highest prize category in which there is at least one winner.

Trivia

There was a compulsory distribution for the first time on May 14, 2016. The winners from prize category 2 (6 correct numbers without additional numbers) received the payment for the past twelve drawings.

The second compulsory distribution took place in the same year on September 14, 2016 in the Wednesday draw.
