Compulsory association
Compulsory association , also called compulsory association , refers to an association that exists on the basis of public law regulations . It is typical for compulsory associations that membership has been made compulsory by the state and those affected are and remain members even against their declared will ( compulsory membership ).
Compulsory associations in which compulsory membership has been controversial for a long time are, for example, the chambers of industry and commerce or the (constituted) student bodies .
