Two mausoleums of the Southern Tang Empire
The two mausoleums of the Southern Tang Empire ( Chinese 南 唐二陵 , Pinyin Nán Táng èr líng or 南唐 二 主 陵 , Nán Táng èr zhǔ líng ) in Jiangning , Nanjing, Jiangsu Province , are two tombs from the time of the Southern Tang Empire (937–975), one of the Ten Kingdoms from the Time of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms .
These are the Yongling Mausoleum永陵 (King Li Bian李 昪) and the Shunling Mausoleum顺 陵 (King Li Jing李 璟). They were excavated from 1950 to 1951.
Their stone and brick chambers were decorated with sculptures and colored paintings. Clay figures as well as clay and porcelain items, pieces of a bronze mirror as well as jade and bone artifacts were unearthed.
They have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-245) since 1988 under the name Nan Tang erling .
