Between the hours is a German miniseries from the year 2000. It was the first German series that was specially developed for the Internet and not for a television program.

It started broadcasting on November 6, 2000 in the online offer of the TV broadcaster RTL . The latest episode was available on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12 noon. At that time, the Internet was not fast enough to achieve a performance like on television, which the creators of the series had to take special care of and, for example, avoided fast tracking shots.
In terms of content, the series dealt with eight young people from Berlin and their problems, as they deal with them during the school breaks. The actors included Yasmin Alchy , Agnieszka Guzikowska , Marc Rohde , Ellenie Salvo González , Henner Heede and Torsten Schwick . Directed by Claudia Udenta .

The internet series announced as an experiment was not a great success; it was an attempt that lasted a few weeks. However, Between the Hours had an early successor, the ZDF online series Etage zwo (2000). Today Internet TV and network series are a common type of Internet.
