André Labatut

André Labatut (born July 18, 1891 in Bordeaux , France , † September 30, 1977 ibid) was a French fencer and two-time Olympic champion with various weapons.

In 1920 at the Olympic Games in Antwerp , Labatut Silber reached fourth place with the foil team behind the Italian team and in the foil singles. At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924 he succeeded in winning the gold medal with both the foil team and the epee team. In 1928 at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam , the French foil team with Labatut had to give up again to the Italians and received silver. In 1930, at the first international championship in Liège, epee teams won a bronze medal behind the teams from Belgium and Italy.
