During the 2012/13 season, the winger made his debut for the men's selection in the Elitserien and subsequently established himself in the professional squad of Frölundas. In addition, it chose Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft from at 202. position. In 2014 he was named Rookie of the Year after 24 scorer points in 44 games in the now renamed Svenska Hockeyligan (SHL) , before he was also considered 98th in the KHL Junior Draft 2015 by HK Dinamo Minsk .
