Upright Democrats

Upright Democrats is a German stamp series that has been issued at irregular intervals since 2002. So far only five different stamps have appeared, the penultimate in 2007 and the last in 2019. Edition, format and stamp artist vary from issue to issue.

Issue occasion

The series is a contribution to the history of the Federal Republic of Germany and honors exemplary personalities who have stood up for freedom and democracy with courage and commitment.
