1934 World Bobsleigh Championship

The fourth bobsleigh world championships took place on January 27 and 28, 1934 on the Rießersee Olympic bobsleigh run in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (four-man bobsleigh) and on February 3 and 4, 1934 in Engelberg, Switzerland (two-man bobsleigh).

Two-man bobsleigh

Teams from Germany , Austria , Czechoslovakia , France , Romania , Italy , England and Switzerland registered . The Austrians had registered the bobsleds Innsbruck ( Hans Stürer ), Graz ( Hans Volckmar ) and Rettenberg ( Paul Moro ) for the races. Bobsleigh Switzerland I set the best time in each of the first three runs (a total of 7: 04.1 minutes), but fell about 20 meters from the finish in the fourth run and was eliminated.
