Bremberg is a hamlet and part of the independent city of Kempten (Allgäu) .
1453 was mentioned a Hein Prenberg and his son Benz Brenberg zum Ryters . The Brenbergs are also mentioned until 1617. It was named Rytters (1527), Reitars (1526), Reiters (1526), Reytters (1544). Brenberg followed for the first time again in 1593. The place name goes back to the family name, which may have been relocated from Brennberg near Frauenzell .
The place was attached to the rural community of Sankt Lorenz in 1818 and was subject to the parish Heiligkreuz . On July 1, 1972, Sankt Lorenz was incorporated into the city of Kempten.
