Motzen is a wasteland in the independent city of Kempten (Allgäu) . Until 1972 it belonged to the municipality of Sankt Mang , which was added to Kempten that year.

history

The place name goes back to the estate of the "Motz". In 1819, a year after Motzen had been connected with other localities to form the rural community of Sankt Mang , there were three residents on the farm.

In 1900 there was a farm with six residents in Motzen. In 1954, eleven people lived in the desert.
