The Postal Königswart is an Outbound hilltop castle in spur position at 450  m above sea level. NHN on the west bank of the Inn near Königswart , a district of the municipality of Soyen in the district of Rosenheim in Bavaria .

The castle was built in the 12th century, mentioned in 1202 as "Chunigswart" and was a subsidiary of the Counts of Megling , at times owned by the Regensburg Cathedral Monastery and from around 1500 it was subject to the County of Haag . In 1855 a chapel was built in the area of ​​the former outer bailey with a walled-in Romanesque capital from the former castle chapel . In the 19th century, the last remains of the castle were torn down to the foundation walls .

The castle area was 125 meters long and 65 meters wide and had an approximately 125-long defensive system of ramparts and moats in the north where the Nasenbach flows into the Inn . In the south one came into the castle complex via a wide and deep neck ditch that separated the castle from a higher level 125 by 125 meters.
The location and the name Königswart suggest a royal toll castle.
