The Feuchtwiesen Ströhen are a nature reserve with a size of 107.03  hectares , most of which are located in Steinhagen (Westphalia) in the Gütersloh district and to a lesser extent in the independent city of Bielefeld (referred to there as Deterings Wiesen ). The Steinhagen sub-area is managed with the number GT-007K1, the Bielefeld sub-area with the number BI-009. The protected area consists of two non-contiguous individual areas.

The nature reserve was designated to preserve the East Munsterland park landscape with communities and habitats of wild plant and animal species, in particular rare and sometimes endangered plant communities in the moist grassland areas as well as hedges, creek sections, ditch edges with high biodiversity and small bodies of water and also serves to preserve breeding areas for Curlews , Lapwing and Little Owl .
