In the play-offs , the 49ers made it to the final and only lost to the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII with 31:34. Gore contributed 110 yards and a touchdown.

In the following two seasons, 2013 and 2014 , the now over 30-year-old Gore showed constant performance and achieved over 1,000 yards each (1,128 and 1,106). In 2014, he became the 20th player in NFL history to run over 11,000 yards in his career.
