The Gerry Weber Open 2010 was a tennis tournament that took place from June 5th to 13th, 2010 in Halle . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2010 and was played outdoors on grass. In the same week, the AEGON Championships were played at the Queen’s Club in London , which, like the Gerry Weber Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in the singles was Tommy Haas , who did not take part in the tournament this year. In the final, Lleyton Hewitt defeated top seeded Roger Federer in three sets with 3: 6, 7: 6, 4 , 6: 4 and won his 28th career title. Christopher Kas and Philipp Kohlschreiber defended their title in doubles , but were eliminated in the quarter-finals. In the final, Serhij Stachowskyj and Michail Juschny defeated the pairing Martin Damm and Filip Polášek .

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize money was 663,750 euros, the total financial liabilities were 750,000 euros.

qualification

The qualification took place from June 3rd to 5th, 2010. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There were also two lucky losers.
