Johan Wissman (born November 2, 1982 in Kvistofta in Helsingborg ) is a Swedish track and field athlete who became vice European champion in the 200-meter run in 2006 .

Wissman won his first international medal when he ran silver over 200 meters at the 2004 World Indoor Championships . In 20.72 s he was only six hundredths of a second behind Dominic Demeritte from Bahamas . Two years later he competed in the 2006 World Indoor Championships in the 4 x 400 meter relay and finished fourth with his relay mates. At the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 , Wissman set a new Swedish national record in the semi-finals over 200 meters with 20.38 seconds. He was able to repeat this time in the final; he won silver behind the Portuguese Francis Obikwelu .

In 2007, Wissman then mainly competed in the 400-meter run . At the European Indoor Championships he ran for 46.17 seconds and missed bronze by just two hundredths of a second compared to the Briton Robert Tobin . At the 2007 World Championships , he also reached the final and finished seventh in 44.72 s after he had improved the Swedish record to 44.56 s in the semifinals. At the World Athletics Finals , Wissman then improved his Swedish record over 200 meters at the end of the season. In 2008 at the World Indoor Championships , Wissman won silver in the 400 meters in 46.04 s behind the Canadian Tyler Christopher . In 2009 he won the European Indoor Championships in Turin over 400 meters in 45.89 s.

With a height of 1.80 m, Wissman's competition weight is 75 kg.
