Joshua Inman
Joshua "Josh" Inman (born March 13, 1980 in Hillsboro , Oregon ) is a former American rower who was Olympic knight in 2008 and world champion in 2005 in eight .
Athletic career
At the 2004 World Championships in Banyoles, only the non-Olympic boat classes were on the program. In the four with a helmsman, the Italians won ahead of the Canadians. The boat from the United States with Andrew Brennan , Paul Daniels , Steven Coppola , Joshua Inman and helmsman Marcus McElhenney took third place, 0.42 seconds behind the Canadians.
In 2005 everyone except Brennan rowed in the American eight . Paul Daniels, Matt Deakin , Steven Coppola, Daniel Beery , Joshua Inman, Bryan Volpenhein , Beau Hoopman , Mike Blomquist and Marcus McElhenney won the title at the World Championships in Gifu with a 1.26 second lead over the Italians.
Inman and Blomquist switched to the four without a helmsman in 2006 . At the World Championships in Nottingham , Matt Schnobrich , Mike Blomquist, Joshua Inman and Brett Newlin finished fourth, one and a half seconds behind the third-placed Dutch.
The 2.03 m tall Inman returned to eighth in 2007. At the World Championships in Munich , the US boat took fourth place in the line-up of Alexander Hearne , Brodie Buckland , Wyatt Allen , Patrick O'Dunne , Brett Newlin, Joshua Inman, Steven Coppola, Daniel Walsh and Marcus McElhenney.
Inman also came eighth at the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008. Beau Hoopman, Matt Schnobrich, Micah Boyd , Wyatt Allen, Daniel Walsh, Steven Coppola, Joshua Inman, Bryan Volpenhein and Marcus McElhenney took second place behind the British in the preliminary run and then won the hope run. In the final, the Canadians won ahead of the British, 0.23 seconds behind the British, the crew from the United States rowed the bronze medal.
In 2010 Inman competed internationally in a four-man without a helmsman, in 2011 he took eighth place at the World Championships in Bled .
