Kulp ( Zazaisch Pasor , Kurdish Pasûr ) is a city in the district of the same name in the Turkish province of Diyarbakır and at the same time a district of the Büyükşehir belediyesi Diyarbakır (metropolitan municipality / metropolitan province ) created in 1993 . Kulp is located in the northeast of the province and borders the provinces of Batman , Bingöl and Muş . According to the city logo with the butterfly, Kulp received the status of a Belediye (municipality) in 1930 . At the end of 2018, the Ilçe was at the bottom of the province's population ranking list.
politics
In 2014 Metin Dinar was elected mayor of Kulp. Sadiye Süer Baran acted as co-mayor. Baran was arrested on December 27, 2016 and taken into custody on January 5, 2017. She was charged with membership in an illegal organization. In Kulp, Mayor Dinar was deposed at the end of January 2017 and Fatih Gülgeroğlu, the kaymakam of the district of Kulp, was appointed acting mayor by the Interior Minister.
On September 2, 2019, Mustafa Gözlet took over the office of Kaymakam (district administrator) and mayor.
