- October 28, 1952: Joseph Wendel (1901–1960), Bishop of Speyer, later Archbishop of Munich and Freising, was made an honorary citizen after he had consecrated the Michaelskapelle . The Kardinal-Wendel-Straße in Deidesheim is named after him.
- September 14, 1956: Heinrich Hartz (1886–1965), parish priest of Deidesheim and papal secret chamberlain, was made an honorary citizen of Deidesheim on his 70th birthday. The Prälat-Hartz-Straße in Deidesheim is named after him.
- May 28, 1960: Hanns Haberer (1890–1967), Minister of Economics and Finance in Rhineland-Palatinate, was made an honorary citizen of Deidesheim on his 70th birthday.
