List of running waters in Denmark

The list of running waters in Denmark contains a selection of running waters ( Danish Vandløb ) in the actual national territory of Denmark (excluding the Faroe Islands and Greenland ). The term river (Danish. Flod ) is not used for flowing waters in Denmark, even if some floodplains / brooks (Danish Å ) in Jutland are the size of a river. The total length of Danish rivers is approximately 69,000 km, the majority of which are smaller watercourses , streams and moats with a width of less than 2.5 m at the bottom.
