Marcel Römer (born February 26, 1982 in Gießen ) is a German drummer who was best known as a member of the band Juli . He was also a member of Re! Nvented for a short time . He also works for other artists as a studio and live musician.

Career with july

Marcel Römer became a member of the then English-speaking band Sunnyglade in 2000 . According to his own statement, he joined the band on his 18th birthday, February 26, 2000. Since his entry, the band, which decided to start again in July with German-language lyrics from 2001 and was signed by Universal Music in 2003 , has remained unchanged. Römer was involved as a drummer on all four studio albums that have been released since then and on the accompanying tours. He is also named as a co-author of two of the band's songs ( Machines on In Love ; Hallo Hallo auf Insel ).

Work for other artists

In 2003 he also became a member of the band Re! Nvented , which has been inactive since 2004. In addition, he also recorded drum parts for other artists in the studio from the start, for example in 2003 for a track on the album This Very Moment by the music project Hacienda (on another track on the same album, his July band colleague Eva Briegel took on a vocal part). In later years he worked for artists such as Anna F. , Andreas Bourani and Bonaparte . In particular, however, the pop duo Boy should be mentioned, which he supports as a drummer both in the studio and on stage.

In 2009 he represented the MIA at several festival appearances - including Rock am Ring and Rock im Park . - Drummer Gunnar Spies. In 2012 he played for Spies in the music video for the MIA.-single Fallschirm .
