We both is a song by the German band Juli . It appeared on their second album Ein neue Tag in October 2006 and was released as a single in December 2006.

Emergence

Like all songs on the album, Wir Zwei was recorded in the Mohrmann Studio in Bochum , where the band worked on the album from November 2005 to July 2006. The origin of this song is exemplified for the way the band Juli works in the official making-of , which was published on the deluxe edition of the album: According to this, guitarist Jonas Pfetzing first played a rough version of the melody to singer Eva Briegel , which then went up to wrote the first version of the lyrics the next day.

Music video

The official music video for We Both was shot under the direction of Bernd Possardt and Jeff Lisk and with cameraman Felix Storp. It shows the band on a small stage. A girl looks at the musicians through a kaleidoscope . The stage now appears to be divided into two parts; on the right side of the viewer the real band Juli plays, on the left side other musicians in similar clothes. Towards the end of the video, Eva Briegel runs briefly to the other half of the stage to give the singer on the opposite side (played by the then acting student Elisa Thiemann) a quick poke on the head. Between the scenes on the stage you can see children and adults posing alone or with their friends in front of a photo canvas.
