Markus Jocher (born January 9, 1979 in Munich ) is a former German ice hockey player (all-rounder) who was most recently under contract at EHC Munich in the 2nd Bundesliga as a standby player.
Career
Jocher began his career in the 1997/98 season at the second division club SC Riessersee . The following season he played for the Landshut Cannibals in the DEL , where he also began the 1999/00 season in the major league before he moved to the Munich Barons and was able to celebrate the German championship there. In addition, he had a few assignments with the Tölzer Löwen with a mining license .
The right-handed shooter spent the 2000/01 season in the 2nd division at TSV Erding , before moving to the Cologne Sharks in the DEL, where he also had some assignments with the cooperation partner, EV Duisburg , in the 2nd Bundesliga . Jocher won the German championship with the Kölner Haien in the first year . Only a year later he reached the final again with the KEC, which was lost.
From 2003 to 2006 he played for the Frankfurt Lions , with whom he also won the championship title in the first season . After he played only a few games in the 2005/06 season due to an injury, he moved to the newly promoted DEL Straubing Tigers , where he played until the 2007/08 season.
From 2008 to 2010 Jocher was under contract with EHC Munich in the 2nd Bundesliga , where he came up with the number 6. In order to be able to pursue his professional obligations, Jocher only played sporadically for the EHC Munich in the 2009/10 season as part of a standby contract and then moved to the Löwen Frankfurt .
