Miloš Teodosić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Милош Теодосић ; born March 19, 1987 in Valjevo ) is a Serbian basketball player. At a height of 1.95 m, he usually takes the position of the point guard , but can also be used as a shooting guard . From 2017 to 2019 he played in the NBA for the Los Angeles Clippers .

Career

Club career

Teodosić began his career at Reflex Belgrade , where he first appeared in the first team in the 2004/05 season. He then moved to KK Borac Čačak , before returning to Belgrade after a year to the club now called FMP Železnik . With his performances there, Teodosić drew the attention of the Greek club Olympiacos Piraeus , which signed him in 2007. In the 2009/10 season he finally achieved his sporting breakthrough when he led Olympiacos to the final of the Euroleague and the cup victory in Greece . For this he was elected MVP of the Euroleague season as well as the Greek Cup final and the All-Euroleague First Team .

After moving to CSKA Moscow, Teodosić again reached the Euroleague final in 2012, which, however, was lost to Olympiakos. He was elected to the All-Euroleague Second Team. In the same year Teodosić won the VTB United League with CSKA in addition to the Russian championship.

National team

Teodosić was already very successful with the youth selections of Serbia and Montenegro and Serbia, he won the European Championships in the U16 and U18 areas, and was awarded the title of MVP of the U20 European Championship in 2007, which he also won with Serbia. He then took part with the senior national team at the 2007 European Championship , which, however, was disappointing for Serbia. At the European Championships in 2009, however, Teodosić was able to lead the team to the final, for which he was elected to the all-tournament team . He was also nominated for the 2010 World Cup , but after a fight in the final of the 2010 Acropolis tournament he was banned from the first two games. Nevertheless, Teodosić reached the semi-finals with Serbia at this tournament and was elected to the all-tournament team .

At the 2014 Basketball World Cup in Spain, Teodosić was runner-up with Serbia. In the final, the Serbs lost against the USA 92: 129. Teodosić was elected to the All-Tournament Team . At the European Championships in 2015 , he and the Serbian national team were among the favorites for the title and he himself played a good tournament with an average of 11.8 points as well as 7.1 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game, but it was only 4th place after losing to Lithuania and in the third place match against France . At the 2016 Summer Olympics , Teodosić and his team reached the final after a rather weak preliminary round after victories against Croatia and Australia, which was clearly lost against the USA with 66:96 (52:29) .
