Oltmannsfehn is a district in the municipality of Uplengen in the district of Leer in East Frisia in Lower Saxony . It is divided into the villages of Ockenhausen and Oltmannsfehn. The mayor is Hermann Taute ( CDU ).

history

Oltmannsfehn was founded in 1813. The place was named after the first settler Oltmann Leenderts. In 1808, Oltmann Leenderts moved with his family of seven from Busboomsfehn "behind Poghausen". The new settlement was given its current name around 1812.

On January 1, 1973, Oltmannsfehn was incorporated into the new municipality of Uplengen.
