At the XXIII. At the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles , eleven sports shooting competitions were held. Six disciplines were reserved for men and three for women, two were open disciplines (trap, skeet). Thus, for the first time, there were separate competitions by gender. The venue was the Prado Olympic Shooting Park in Chino .
