history

The village of Priwodino was built near the former Spasso-Priluzki Nikolajewski men's monastery ( Спасо-Прилуцкий Николаевский мужской монастырь ). Due to its location on a river bay of the Northern Dvina, the village has served as a winter depot and repair base for the local shipping fleet since the end of the 19th century. In 1941, Privodino received urban-type settlement status. In the post-war years, the settlement grew with the expansion of the ship repair base. At the end of the 1960s, the Northern Lights gas pipeline ( Сияние Севера ) was built through the settlement . As a result, more gas and oil pipelines and a pumping station were built here. In 1994 the ship repair base in Priwodino was closed.
