The Dorheim Castle is an Outbound Wasserburg and later castle near the right weather shore in Dorheim (On the Biek 5), a district of Friedberg in Wetteraukreis in Hesse .

The moated castle was probably built in the 13th century by a member of the Wais von Fauerbach family. The family owned the castle as an allod , but later accepted it as an imperial fief . By inheritance, the castle came to Jost Rau von Holzhausen in 1558 . Both families presided over the imperial water court of the Wetterau.

A new building was built around 1500. Where the castle house previously stood, the late Baroque manor house was built in 1775 as a three-storey plastered building with a central projectile and arbor . This was acquired by the Counts of Solms-Rödelheim , but in 1930 sold to the evangelical parish of Dorheim as a parsonage. In private ownership again since 1969, the castle now belongs to a line of the Counts of Solms-Laubach who also inhabit it.

From the medieval castle complex, even larger parts of the foremost circular wall and two flank towers from around 1500 as well as remnants of the former lined inner ditch have been preserved.
