Son de Sol (in German the name means: sound of the sun) is a Spanish flamenco pop group consisting of three sisters: Sole, Lola and Esperanza. You represented Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 in Kiev with the song Brujeria .

Band history

Apart from their win in the Spanish preliminary round of the Eurovision Song Contest 2005, the three sisters could hardly celebrate any success in Spain: their first album ( De Fiesta Por Sevillanas ) only reached number 3569 in the Spanish album charts, the second ( Callejuela ) only reached number 1025 in the album charts. After that, they were kicked out of their record company. Then they realized two more albums: Brujeria from 2005 and Directo a ti .

In 2005 the three sisters from Son de Sol won the Spanish preliminary round for the Eurovision Song Contest, just ahead of the favorites with a 2.4% lead. In Kiev , the sisters were not very successful, they only got 21st place.
