stoersender.tv

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

stoersender.tv was a satirical German internet television station . From the end of March to December 2013, he presented a 20- to 40-minute video magazine every two weeks on critically viewed topics with the participation of well-known cabaret artists. The central figure of the "jammer" was Dieter Hildebrandt (died on November 20, 2013) and together with Georg Schramm and Konstantin Wecker also its founder.

prehistory

The journalist and PR consultant Stefan Hanitzsch , son of Dieter Hanitzsch , developed the idea and concept for the internet magazine in discussions with Dieter Hildebrandt at the end of 2011 . From the outset, the focus was on the then 84-year-old cabaret artist and at the same time promoting the “jammer”.

financing

On December 6, 2012, the “Jammer” project was presented to the press in order to secure the financing of the first twenty episodes via crowdfunding with the Startnext platform . The targeted amount of 125,000 euros had already been collected on January 25, 2013 and exceeded it by 30,000 euros.

Frank-Markus Barwasser , inventor of the character “Erwin Pelzig”, Urban Priol and others donated 2222 euros each to the “jammer” and, like most of the other cabaret artists, performed without a fee. This form of financing allowed only a fixed salary to be paid to editor-in-chief Hanitzsch and the cameramen to be paid.

concept

stoersender.tv defined itself as a crossover medium that combines “ cabaret , journalism and political and social engagement in one campaign platform”. “Social engagement” means “disruptions of all kinds, online and offline”, and stoersender.tv also wants to “show alternatives”. According to our own assessment, there were similarities in terms of content with the Internet platform "Generation Solidarity" of the television station Arte , on which stoersender.tv was represented with a blog.

The “jammer” wanted to encourage more people to become politically active, “create a counter-public to television” and “disrupt people and organizations that in turn disrupt democracy”. Regarding the content of the 14-day IPTV magazine, which was also distributed via Vimeo and YouTube , it says: “We piss off politicians of all parties, we target extremists of all stripes and we include activists of all kinds in the program. "

reception

Deutschlandradio Kultur described stoersender.tv as a “playground for the subversive spirit” and after the first episode concluded: “Sharp, ironic, analytical, often cheerfully anarchic”. Focus Online , on the other hand, asked: “Does that really bother anyone?” And instead of Dieter Hildebrandt adding “more exciting, disturbing things”, his interludes seemed like “' dandelions ' for mature citizens”. In the weekly newspaper Der Freitag , Nils Markwardt wrote that Stefan Hanitzsch had denied a large part of the first episode in “fun-free conversations” with the Erfurt economics professor Helge Peukert - there “the laugh factor remains low, the information factor high. Although one can doubt Scharpf's theses on the full money system in particular, these journalistic contributions complement each other surprisingly well with the cabaret part of the show. ”Only on one subject, namely Angela Merkel - who is“ a pretty tough nut to crack for cabaret artists ”- is that first episode of the jammer failed completely: A "reasonably funny song about Angie's smile by Konstantin Wecker, an uninspired cartoon about the chumship of the federal government and bankers, and a flat clip about Merkel's new North Korean PR team - that's flat and superficial." In conclusion, Markwardt is hopeful about the coming episode.

Disruptive actions

On April 23, 2013, the “jammer” in Munich awarded the Apple company honorary Russian citizenship - “for special merits in slipping into tax holes”. Outside the US, Apple only pays 1.9 percent tax. Wladimir Kaminer , accompanied by Dieter Hildebrandt, Stefan Hanitzsch and the Munich Express Brass Band in Russian military uniforms, presented the certificate to a manager of the local Apple store.
