The TSV Aubstadt is a sports club from the Lower Franconian town Aubstadt . In addition to the football department, the club also has departments for tennis and women's gymnastics.
history
The association was founded in 1921. After decades in lower-class football, he was promoted to the district league for the first time in 1981. The club achieved further district league promotions in 1986, 1990 and 1993. With the championship title in the A-class in 1993, an upward trend began, which brought the club into the Bavarian Northern League within three years . There the club stayed mostly in the lower half of the table in the years of its membership. Two relegations from the regional league in 1999 and 2004 were followed by relegations in 2000 and 2008.
In the 2011/12 season, the team under coach Josef Francic established itself in the top field of the regional league and secured promotion to the Bayernliga Nord three game days before the end of the season . There the club won the runner-up in the 2013/14 season, whereby he qualified for the promotion games to the Regionalliga Bayern , in which he was defeated by 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 . In the 2017/18 season they were runner-up behind SV Viktoria Aschaffenburg with 70 points and thus qualified for the relegation to the Bavarian Regional League. There they failed after two draws (2: 2/1: 1) at SpVgg Bayreuth . In the 2018/19 season , the club finally achieved promotion to the Bavarian Regional League as champions of the Bayernliga Nord.
