Tatiana Leonidowna Weschkurowa ( Russian Татьяна Леонидовна Вешкурова ; born September 23, 1981 in Perm ) is a Russian athlete . She was the European relay champion in 2006.

Life

Tatiana Weschkurowa had lost at the Russian championships in 2006 in the 400-meter run against Svetlana Pospelowa . At the European Championships in 2006 Weschkurowa was the strongest Russian and won the silver medal in 50.15 s behind Bulgarian Vanya Stambolova , who was the only one under the 50-second limit in this race in 49.85 s. The Russian 4 x 400 meter relay with the line-up Swetlana Pospelowa, Natalja Iwanowa , Olga Saizewa and Tatjana Weschkurowa won in 3: 25.12 minutes ahead of the relays from Belarus and Poland .

In 2007 Weschkurowa ran at the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham in 51.96 s to fifth place. In the outdoor season she missed the finals in the individual competition at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka in 50.71 seconds. In the relay competition, the team from the USA won before the respective national record running seasons from Jamaica and the United Kingdom. In 3: 20.25 minutes, the Russian relay with Lyudmila Litwinowa , Natalja Nasarowa , Tatjana Weschkurowa and Natalja Antjuch took fourth place.

At the Olympic Games in 2008 Weschkurowa won the first run with the Russian relay in 3: 23.71 minutes. She was not used in the final; as their teammates finished second behind the US relay in the final, Weschkurowa also received the Olympic silver medal for their preliminary use.

In March 2013, she won the silver medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden .

At a height of 1.75 m, her competition weight is 64 kg.
