action

Jo Newton, daughter of the owner of a computer security company, is sent back to an elite school after breaking into her father's company and loading a virus into the system. Said elite school is equipped with a high-tech security program from the same company and Jo uses the opportunity to load the virus into the system. It comes to chaos, the virus called Mangler 2 comes to life and kills one after the other until he chooses the headmaster of the school as the host in order to spin further plans in his guise.

Trivia

  • Apart from the name "Mangler", the film has nothing to do with its predecessor and even less with King's literary model.
  • The director's chairs during the shooting were not printed with Mangler 2 , but with Mangler 11 . According to director Hamilton-Wright a "good omen".
  • Despite the open ending and the director's alleged announcement that he would shoot other parts with the same topic, only The Mangler Reborn has been created so far , but it is again more concerned with the actual laundry shortage than with the virus.

criticism

“Poor teenage horror film based on“ sorcerer's apprentice ”, which as a sequel is just as unconvincing as its poor predecessor and suffers as much from its poor actors as from the overused story; a pathetic teenage horror film. "
