Tobadill is an Austrian municipality with 513 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020) in the judicial district and district of Landeck in the state of Tyrol .
geography
Tobadill is located on a narrow terrace 200 m above Pians , between Perfuchsberg and the entrance to the Paznaun Valley . The community is a typical scattered settlement with a core around the church and surrounding hamlets and farms.

history
Tobadill was first mentioned in a document in 1275. The name is derived from tabulat ill ("small hay barn").
In 1949 Tobadill was separated from Pians as an independent municipality.
Mining used to be important in the Flath area , iron spar and iron gravel were mined. Today the community is one of the lowest incomes in North Tyrol. Most residents are forced to commute to work.
Bike paths
Tobadill is on the long-distance cycle path , which runs as the Via Claudia Augusta along an ancient Roman road of the same name .
