Tzi Ma ( Chinese  馬志 , Pinyin Mǎ Zhì , born June 10, 1962 in Hong Kong ) is an American actor of Chinese origin.

Life

Tzi Ma is from Hong Kong and grew up in New York . There he studied classical theater and dance . He has appeared in various US films. He had his biggest roles in the films The Silent American , Ladykillers , Rush Hour and Rush Hour 3 .

Ma achieved greater popularity with the role of the opaque Cheng Zhi in the real-time series 24 , in which he has previously played in three seasons and in 24: Live Another Day . Ma also appeared in television series such as Walker, Texas Ranger , Law & Order , Emergency Room - The Emergency Room , Chicago Hope - Hope End , Starship Enterprise: The Next Century , LA Law - Star Lawyers, Tricks, Trials and New York Cops - NYPD Blue .

Tzi Ma is fluent in English , Cantonese and Mandarin . He has been married to Christina Ma since 1994 and lives alternately in New York and Los Angeles .
