The 2005/06 Nordic Combined World Cup season began on November 25, 2005 in Kuusamo, Finland and ended on March 19, 2006 in Sapporo . The season was here from 10 to 26 February 2006 by the 2006 Olympic Games of Turin interrupted.

The overall World Cup was finally won by the Finn Hannu Manninen . He also won the Sprint World Cup. With a total of twelve World Cup victories in one season, including seven in a row, he set a new record. For Manninen it was the third overall World Cup success in a row, which made him level with the Japanese Kenji Ogiwara . Due to these successes, the Finn was a favorite for the Olympic Games, but could not win a medal in the individual disciplines.

The season was also very successful for Petter Tande and Jason Lamy Chappuis , as they celebrated their first World Cup victories. Mario Stecher and Felix Gottwald ensured the German-speaking successes of the season with one victory each and Björn Kircheisen with two wins, who was third in the overall and sprint world cup rankings behind Magnus Moan .
