Zdravko Miljak

Zdravko Miljak (born September 11, 1950 in Vinkovci , Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian handball player . The left-hander usually played in the right back space .

In his homeland, Miljak first played for his hometown club Lokomotiva Vinkovci and later for the Zagreb club RK Medveščak . Then he went to Italy to Cividin Trieste . He came to the handball Bundesliga via TuS Nettelstedt . Miljak then played for VfL Günzburg from 1981 to 1985 . In 1984 he was the top scorer in the handball Bundesliga in 25 games with 188 goals, 61 of which were seven meters . The two seasons before he was behind Erhard Wunderlich , each time with only one hit less, second in the goalscorer list.

Miljak played for the Yugoslav national team . In 1972 he became Olympic champion in Munich with the national selection . He played in all six games of Yugoslavia and scored seven goals, including three in the final at 21:16 against Czechoslovakia . Four years later he finished fifth with Yugoslavia in Montreal . Again, he played all six games and scored 30 goals.

After his playing days he became a trainer for TSV Milbertshofen . In 1990 he was replaced by Vlado Stenzel . Miljak gave the nickname "Magician" for Vlado Stenzel many years earlier.

Miljak lives in Zagreb and Zadar and is a financial advisor. He is also president of the first division club RK Medveščak.
