==Test scores==

'''North Miami Senior High School''' was given a grade of F by the Florida Department of Education in 2006-2007. In 2005-2006, this school received a D.

If North Miami fails to bring the school grade up to a C in the 2007-2008 school year, that will be the 3rd year in a row that it was graded a D or F, meaning that under measures set by the state, drastic measures will be taken. These may include firing/transferring/replacing teachers and administrators, transferring students to other schools or removing funding for extracurricular activities.

==Student body==
*81% of the students are African-American, 15% are of Hispanic origin, 2% are non-Hispanic whites, and 2% are of Asian decent. The rest are multicultural and American Indian.

*47% of the students in the school participate in the free or reduced-price lunch program.

*The attendance rate of the school is 90% compared to the state average of 94%.
