Thomas Karlsson (born 1972) is a Swedish occultist and esoteric author, with a PhD in the History of Religions from the Stockholm University.[1] In 1989 he founded Dragon Rouge, a Left-Hand Path initiatory organisation. In 2007, he held the first Swedish university course in Western Esotericism.[citation needed]

Music
Karlsson was also the lyricist of symphonic metal band Therion, and wrote almost all the band's lyrics between 1996 and 2010. He also provided the whispers on the Therion song Ljusalfheim on their Secret of the Runes album.[citation needed] Nevertheless, Karlsson was never regarded as an official band member.
Karlsson was the lead vocalist of the symphonic death metal band Shadowseeds along with fellow Dragon Rouge member Tommie Eriksson, who also was working with Therion as a session guitarist and drummer in the 90's.[5] The lyrics reflect the Order's teachings and rituals.[citation needed]
