Allelon Ruggiero (March 5th, 1971) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he attended the Performing Arts School of Philadelphia since age 12, and later Philadelphia’s University of the Arts. He is an American film and television actor and filmmaker and theater director best known for playing Stephen Meeks in Dead Poets Society. After making his debut in Peter Weir's film, he continued a steady career, including minor roles in acclaimed movies like 12 Monkeys and The Mirror Has Two Faces, until 2004 when he took a 9 years break from acting,[1] coming back in 2013 for an episode on The Bullsh*t Detective. During that hiatus, he ventured into directing and producing, making content for Bain & Company.
In 2011 Allelon and his wife, TV producer Lea Walker, opened Aeriform Arts, an aerial and circus arts training facility in Hollywood, which led him to direct, in 2019, “Cirque du Giselle”,[2][3] an aerial version of the classic ballet, during the Hollywood Fringe Festival.
