The business here is building an encyclopedia? An admin with seven Featured Articles and numerous other articles shouldn't be put on a par with admins who hang around IRC, close AfDs more to pronounce their power than to help Wikipedia, use Wikipedia as message board and pick up channel etc. Of all those involved in this mess, how many didn't forget their real business here? You should model yourself on Dbachmann and Fowler&fowler (the latter has been using this mess to his advantage to turn a stuttering mass of facts infested with irrelevant quotations, silly primacy claims and a lot of trivia into a readable scholarly article ([[Indian mathematics]]) in peace in the absence of trolls.

==My impression of user:Dbachmann==
Very competent in Hindu and Indian topics and does cite sources, but sometimes makes impolite remarks about other contributors or a whole class of contributors. I will try to get diffs that support my impression. [[User:Andries|Andries]] 11:16, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

We all know about Hkelkar, but he is not the one being accused here.--Konstable 12:55, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh as far as it goes to communicating and being friendly with banned users, I admit to blocking someone on Hkelkar's request when he was still here and move protecting a page for him. Maybe if I send him an email I will be banned now?--Konstable 12:57, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You have clearly not read the evidence page for that arbitation. Please do not say again that there is 'no evidence' without having done so; it has been suggested to you several times.
If you have a disruptive pattern of editing, satisfying WP:DE, and are found discussing it with a banned editor, I certainly hope that you would be banned. Hornplease 17:00, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Read my comments above, and quit responding to my every edit. I'm not a party to this arbitration so your bizare accusations against me have no place here. Stay on topic or leave.--Konstable 05:29, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, please read the evidence page of that arbitration, where evidence against individuals other than Hkelkar, some of whom are involved in this arbitation as well, is laid out. In the absence of you making that minimal effort, I suggest your continual intervention here is no longer helpful.
Note that I have made no accusation against you; you proposed a hypothetical situation, and I followed on from that hypothesis.
NYB: I strongly urge you to move non-essential parts of the above exchange to the talkpage in order to preserve readability. Thanks. Hornplease 23:24, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

doosra

My paternal uncle is a scholar in Urdu, and says that doosra is a word that has its origins from Urdu. Hindustani being in itself, a dialect formed by the lingua franca of Hindi and Urdu. Can anyone who is proficient in Urdu substantiate it with sources over the internet? — Nearly Headless Nick {C} 07:02, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yes, the equivalent word for "doosra" in Hindi is - "dvitiya". — Nearly Headless Nick {C} 07:09, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Will produce the evidence very soon. — Nearly Headless Nick {C} 09:35, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can a clerk please contact the ArbCom to ask them to comment

Proposal 1.2 is quite an urgent one and the case is deadlocked until it is decided either way. Rama's Arrow has been oversighted by an arbitrator for goign against it already, yet he has said that he will reinstall the oversighted edit [1] Can the ArbCom comment on this please.--Konstable 22:18, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am not certain that Rama's Arrow intends to carry this further, but will advise the Arbitration Committee of the concerns expressed. Newyorkbrad 22:21, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
