Rhondda Fawr (English: Greater Rhondda) is the larger of the two Rhondda valleys.
The Rhondda Fawr valley ends at the confluence of the Rhondda Fawr and Rhondda Fach rivers at Porth.
Towns and villages within the valley include Blaenrhondda, Tynewydd, Blaencwm, Treherbert, Cwmparc, Treorchy, Ton Pentre, Gelli, Ystrad, Clydach Vale, Llwynypia, Tonypandy, Penygraig and Trealaw.
