He is a switch-hitter but throws right-handed. Zobrist usually plays shortstop, and is noted for wearing old-fashioned stirrups. The Tampa Bay Rays acquired Zobrist and and Mitch Talbot from the Houston Astros for Aubrey Huff. Ben played college baseball for Dallas Baptist University. Ben also played for Olivet Nazarene University.
