Sandia View Academy is a school in Corrales, New Mexico. It is currently run by the Texico Conference of the Southwestern Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. The school was founded in 1939 and used to own a substantial part of the current Corrales area.

History

List of Principals

• (2002-2003) Liliana Graf, was principal of Crestview Christian Elementary alongside her SVA duties.
• (2003-2005) Leon Hill, known by the students as "Hillster" or as "Sir", most famous for his outreach and evangelism throughout the Seventh-day Adventist church.
• (2005-2006) Charles Workman, known by the students as "Chuckman", lived on campus previously and generously took the position in the absence of Leon Hill.
• (2006-Present) Darrel Reeve.

Notable Past Teachers

• Ben Clausen, a well known leader in the Christian scientific community. He taught math and science at SVA from 1978-1980.
• Janice Jones, most well known for her thesis on William Shakespere. She taught Literature, English, Speech, and Writing at SVA from 2002-2006.
• Leon Hill, most famous for his outreach and evangelism throughout the Seventh-day Adventist church. He was principal of SVA from 2003-2005.

Notable Alumni

• Leroy Baca, re-established school in 1994 by assisting in establishing an elementary school. The school successfully evolved, from Kindergarten to 8th, back into a Pre-K to High School.
• Rodney Draggon, a pastor who has successfully established youth anti-drug campaigns and other programs.
• John Marler, founder of the Christian rock band Shadows of Antioch, Co-Captain of the school's basketball team his senoir year and student body president . He was a student/graduate at SVA from 2003-2006.
• Rafael Sanchez, graduated in 2005, came from a tough New York life to finding God in this school.
• Cid Lopez, graduated in 1993, went on to become a successful lawyer.
• David Martinez, graduated in 1980, Air Force chaplain representing the Seventh-Day Adventist church.
• Ryan Laws, graduated in 1991, Has become a leader in the fields of cosmetic and implant Dentistry.

Academic Programs

Calvin Bickell, 1995, 1997 helped many of people realize their potential in many of the classes that he taught.
