Talyllyn maps
Hi - I've worked out a scale for your Talyllyn map, and added it on to the png file. However, despite three attempts, it seems to have failed to overwrite the file when I tried to upload the new version on Commons. I don't know if I was doing anything wrong? Anyway, I've now uploaded it as :Image:TalyllynRailwayMapEnhanced-scale.png‎, and it seems to have worked. I've also enhanced the location map, but I've got problems clearing the cache with this too, so I might also try that with a different name. Any suggestions?&nbsp;—&nbsp;<span style="background:#7F0000;color:#FFFFFF">&nbsp;Tivedshambo&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;(t/c) 16:40, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

:Your version now appears with a scale, so I presume it must have just been server lag. I've reverted to using your version, and tagged mine as duplicate on Commons.&nbsp;—&nbsp;Pek, <small>on behalf of Tivedshambo</small> 07:21, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Yeah hey, you deleted something that I posted, I want to know why?

I said in my post that my reference was a movie that I'm making at the moment.

I was also wondering if there was any way that you could send me the thing that you had deleted. I didn't get a chance to save the text before you deleted it, and I don't remember exactly how it was worded. <small>—Preceding unsigned comment added by SithMan (talk • contribs) 02:22, 3 April 2008 (UTC)</small><!-- Template:Unsigned --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot-->

Hello. I'm contacting you because you have had previous dealings with Brfc97. He has resumed deleting sourced content from the Blackburn Rovers article after his latest block expired, and he appears to be using a second sockpuppet to continue the edit war (Bazentin; see also Brfc97 sockpuppetry case). I'd appreciate it if you could keep an eye on this matter, as it looks like further administrative action may be necessary at some point. I just got sent two messages regarding vandalism for something I didn't write. You accused me of adding my birthday to the wiki entry for the date of Jan. 13. Well technically it's not an actual "fan-film", considering that it's going to be a quite huge production, costing a great deal of money. It's an independent film, based off of descriptions of events that I found on this site, that also had no references. The weapon itself is loosely based off of a weapon that was briefly mentioned in a book that I read a long while back, which was only mentioned once as "A lightsaber, with a hilt of extraordinary length, and a short blade." Other than calling it, "The Mincris", there was no other mention of it after that. I just gave it a name since it's used in my film. But the part about the blue prints being found in a Sith tomb, along with a holocron was actually from that book.

But thank you for sending me what I had written.

[EDIT] Ah, I found some reference from official lucas arts published work that I can actually remember the name for.. Darth Nihl used a variation of this weapon. It was referred to as a "Lightsaber Cane", which I guess is why I forgot about him. The name "The Mincris" is what was on the holocron in the other book that I had read.

So... Yeah, Here's my visual proof of the weapon. http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/6/68/Nihlprofile.jpg

I have asked the user who posted the POV tag, to start a section on the talk page so we can see what the issue is, without having to read through a zillion reverts. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 01:32, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He blanked my request without comment. [1] It is not fair to post a POV tag without offering an explanation of what the issue is. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 01:48, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
He's finally making some attempts at dialogue. The rule should be, write the paragraph first, then post the tag. Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 02:21, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and he apparently thinks that what he thinks my views on gun control are (and he doesn't actually know what my views are), form an agenda that will somehow affect how the Cubs page should be written. I'm waiting for him to elaborate on that one. It should be good. :) Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 02:23, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain

Please explain why you accuse me of vandalism. I am very shocked that another user is threatening me. Now you are accusing me of vandalism. What vandalism. This is a serious issue. 122.164.134.73 (talk) 12:01, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

why did you put a warning tag on my user talk page? here in india, the keyboard is very slow and you can type and it takes a few minutes for it to appear. So if one pushes the wrong buttons, you can occasionally delete text, but it is certainly not intentional! 122.164.134.73 (talk) 12:14, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agsin, many times sorry. I did not intentionally remove comments. As proof, the comments that got blanked have nothing to do with me.

On that subject, I have seen others blank out comments that they did not agree with on AN and ANI. They used the excuse "trolling" even though that's an excuse. Would you help out next time this happens, i.e. blanking out text on AN and ANI? Thank you! 122.164.134.73 (talk) 12:24, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for the reminder. The user either does not comprehend me or simply has no willingness to discuss. I do not wish to enter into an edit war, but the user has not shown any intention of giving a rationale for his edits. Instead, he simply gave me four vandalism warnings. I'll discuss with the user the moment he displays the slightest trace of human intelligence. Herunar (talk) 19:42, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How did you do it so fast anyway? 216.252.88.5 (talk) 01:01, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Excirial, I have reverted your recent edit to Rhyd Ddu railway station. The article is about a British railway stations so its appropriate that it is written using British English spelling rather than US English spelling. Thanks, Gwernol 16:18, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see you have been switching US to UK English spelling on a lot of British articles, such as Contempo (band) and The Experiment‎ . Could I ask you to take a little more care with this. Referring to these spelling differences as "typos" isn't really appropriate either. Thanks for understanding, Gwernol 16:20, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the notice on that Gewernol; I'm currently busy checking random articles for their spelling and grammar, but as a non native speaker of the English language the difference between American and British English is sometimes quite hard for me. It also seems that Word (Which i slightly rely on to detect the correct article language) does not always correctly detect either of the two languages.
I assume that the main problem is caused by the "Ise" and "Ize" ending(Organise, Organize), as i got a remarkable lot of results regarding that letter combination. I already found it a little weird that i got so many errors on those, but my guess is that is one of the differences between the US and the UK variant. Either way, i will lay of correcting those type words, as i have a lot less of a problem with other words; Most of the corrections are based upon accidentally switching two letters/lettres.

Pretty self explainitory really... it's not like i was trying to trick people or anything. I just suck at main pages so i put the main page source then some userboxes. Mczack26 (talk) 15:13, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What kind of website would be counted as a legitimate source? Also why can people.com be used as a source on this page but cannot be used as a link? Many thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by Salsasalsa (talkcontribs) 19:01, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Gwernol. You removed my external link on Panic Attacks. My site is not for any profit but has a talk community of over 600 people and we focus solely on panic attacks. There is a constant stream of information occurring there. Spam is FOR profit or FOR an agenda. There is NO advertising, NO donations asked for. It is entirely altruistic. This site is free information and aims to helps people suffering from panic attacks and give them detailed explanations from those that have had panic attacks. I have been asking for years about posting this link to Wikipedia:Panic Attack and one past editor saw fit to allow the link (Please read My Talk: Guymadison). I appreciate your concern though. File:Blonde boy and girl.JPG
Ideal imagination of the Ayran master race by Nationalsocialists with blond hair and blue eyes.

Hello! I'm Mikelle from Northern Italy. I'm also of German origin.

I really don't understand your revert of my edit. Because the source you have asked for is already stated in the article:

"Chapter 1 - Nordicism: Thus the racial ideal of these theorists was the tall, blond and blue-eyed Nordic individual."

So I only wanted to illustrate this article with two children who have those features. That's it. (And there are no better pictures on commons)

For example, if you're a person with blond hair and blue eyes and of good physical health you would meet the criteria of the "ideal race" of the Nationalsocialists.

I compare this situation with as I would insert a picture of a man in the article man, and you revert it due to lack of source.

I hope you understand my logic. Thanks. --Mikelle1 (talk) 00:03, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody that pale could be the master race. One full day in the sunshine would wipe out the "master race". Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 09:55, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you want a better symbol of the master race, here he is: pale, light-haired, etc. The master "race", in this case, of course refers to us Americans. 0:) Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 15:23, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
