Beecroft Public School has earned itself the reputation of being one of the ''finest primary schools of the area''. This has been through the hard work and dedication from the staff that has brought many accolades to the school. For instance, the band program at BPS has been strong over a number of years. The stage band regularly receives Gold Awards at competitions they play in.

The academic standards at Beecroft compares favourably to the rest of the state. The OC (opportunity classes) brings together gifted students from the surrounding areas to work in a productive and creative environment. Other notable areas of accomplishment include debating and sport.

The year 5 and 6 debating teams, led by Mr David Stroud, have previously been very successful. In 2005, the debating team was NSW state champion. Last year, once again, the A team was into the state finals. They won their round robin and their semi-final but unfortunately lost in the state final. This year one of the teams will again be going to state, after winning the Regional Grand Final.
Mr Stroud also coaches the PSSDC team for North Sydney and once again one of the Beecroft students has made it into the team.
