Peter John Dale (born 1938) is a British poet and translator.

Peter dale was born in Addlestone, Surrey in 1938. He was educated at St Peter's College, Oxford.[1]

He was the associate editor and later co-editor of Agenda. He was Head of English at Hinchley Wood School and has published many collections of verse. His other books include translations of François Villon, Jules Laforgue, and Dante, and An Introduction To Rhyme.[1][2]
