Albrighton is a small village (population 273 in the 2001 census [1]) to the north of Shrewsbury.

It is first mentioned in Domesday, as Etbritone ("Ēadbeorht’s settlement"). Albrighton Hussey, which is in the same parish, was once part of the same manor, and indeed shared the same name originally.
