Islam Nagar (Urdu: اسلام نگر) is one of the neighbourhoods of Baldia Town in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan[1].

There are several ethnic groups including Muhajirs, Punjabis, Sindhis, Kashmiris, Seraikis, Pakhtuns, Balochis, Memons, Bohras Ismailis, etc. Over 99% of the population is Muslim. The population of Baldia Town is estimated to be nearly one million..

Union Council No. 1 of Baldia Town contains three Mohallas i.e.Gulshan-e-Ghazi, Islamnagar and Abidabad. Awans are in majority in Islamnagar and other communities like people from Mianwali and Hazarewals, Pakhtuns, Punjabis, Seraikis, etc. Islamnagar is the smallest Mohalla of UC-1. Islamnagar have a problem of fresh water supply since 1992. Before 1992 Islamnagar was a part of Orangi Town Sector # 10, its fresh water lines, telephone connecetions were provided by Orangi Town. Due to some political reasons, Islamnagar was attached with Baldia Town in 1992. When it became part of Baldia Town, the Orangi Town Management diconnected their water connecitons because of the reason that Islamnagar is not longer part of Orangi Town. Islamnagar is very important by geographical conditions. It is a pathway from Hub Industrial Area to Orangi Town and followed by Nazimabad and North Karachi.
